Galantha Nival

What is reasonable public knowledge

She is certainly a female halfing who is 2ft 11 and a half inches tall with nut brown hair, green eyes and tanned skin. She is certainly a ice mage. This much is true. Her name, Snowdrop, is elven for Galantha Nival which was the name she used to register with the Guild. Galantha is the name she uses on formal documents and among elves but usually she uses Snowdrop. She claims to have come from way up north, more specifically Ivinia except that she seems a bit less knowledgeable on the Inuit lifestyle, which, if she grew up there, she should know. That and given her skill set means this may not be true. She claims to have seen the Northern Lights on Alusia and gone swimming under ice, which may be true as she has vivid memories of doing this, but maybe this wasn't on Alusia.

She speaks and writes elven very well, which seems to suggest she was raised by elves and elven is her native language. She also knows Pasifikan and Common but stumbles over Halfling. She is a skilled swimmer and freediver, and uses her ice magic to make ice treats such as snow cones, flavoured fruit ice blocks, ice cream, gelatos and sorbets, She is also familiar with the uses of chocolate and will often coat her frozen confections in it. Unlike other halflings, she is not that fond of cream buns, preferring fruits, especially berries, either fresh or frozen. Porridge, cheeses, various teas, and preserved meats are also favourites, although recently, she has gone off the thought of 'sausages'. She refuses to say why but blushes a lot.

Besides freediving, her other hobbies are stargazing and music. She actually has 'perfect pitch' and hearing her sing in elven is a treat, even though she is a bit shy of singing in public.

She will admit, when pressed, that, yes, she spent some time in Pasifika, training under Veor. For some reason, her background records are sealed by Guild Security but she is not pacted nor under the influence of any deity like entity. Could she had come through one of the portals on Palaeolithica and on to Pasifika? Or could she have been raised by the short elves in the southern regions of Zeyland or even further south. Either is a possibility but neither her or Guild Security are saying.

Usually she goes by the name 'Snowdrop' as that is the common translation of her elven name.

(Effective ranks 1-5: Candle Effective ranks 6-10: Torch/Lantern Effective Ranks 11-15: Small Campfire Effective Ranks: 16-20 Large Campfire). The effective rank of the glow may be changed (up or down) is 1 fatigue per 10 (or fraction) consecutive effective ranks changed. The effective rank will rise at a rate of 1 rank per pulse to a max of effective rank 20. The light will naturally decay at a rate of 1 effective rank every 30 minutes. Changing the effective spell rank of the necklace requires concentrating on the crystal. Moreover, this light will reveal invisible entities, walking unseen entities and reveal invisible inks, similarly to the witch-sight spell/talent at an effectiveness of 1/3 (rounding up) the current glow rank. However, invisibilities more powerful than this will not give off a blue shimmering outline or otherwise have their presence been noticed. Sentient Invisible entities will most likely be aware that they have been revealed from this light. (magical invisibility is the rank of the spell) (invisible ink is based on the effective alchemy rank it was made with). This is considered magical light and will not give positive bonuses to celestial casting but may reduce negatives. Value: 3000sp
