Sanctuary Jewellers Quarter

The Jewellers Quarter is where the finest craftsmen of Sanctuary work, re-cutting gems and resetting jewellery. Other fine goods are sold here too, including exotic spices, highly skilled slaves, family heirlooms, and fine silks. This area positively hums with money and activity. Many of the businesses are owned by the merchant princes, as affording the cost of fire insurance and payoffs to local community groups can be very high for independent business men. Any kind of goods that a rich man wants can be acquired here, or ordered if not available. While sumptuous wealth and conspicuous spending are not commonplace, this is one of the few places that rich Seagate Adventurer Guild members can shop and not be surprised at the lack of goods. Almost everything that is in the Governors Palace or an Uptown manse passed through the Jewellers Quarter at least once.

Places

  • Enas Yorl's – A palatial residence below Pyrtanis St guarded by basilisks
  • Herewick's – a fine jewellery establishment. A lot of business of all kinds goes through this store
  • Dravins - small store on the edge of the quarter run by Felix_Draven, specialising in decorated bird eggs.

People of Note

  • Enas Yorl – the most powerful mage in Sanctuary. A cursed shapeshifter.
  • Herewick the Jeweller - Herewick mainly works in new gems, and creates works of art.
  • Jamie the Red – A Nordic prince and loudly jovial carouser.
  • Lastel One-Thumb – a spice and drug merchant with a very shady past.
  • Rob Gorg – A dealer in second-hand gems who gives a fair price for a fair risk.

Law

The law-abiding folk of the Jewellers Quarter are very glad to have the garrison and Walegrin's men protecting them and upholding the law, in addition to their own bodyguards, shop guard, paid protection, and the forces of their various merchant princes. Some also hire members of the Mage Guild, who work closely with the garrison.
