The Beltan are the warrior caste of the old Eleven Empire. They left Alusia sometime before the [[War of Tears]] to fight a great darkness (thought to be the Calamar). They have returned due to the war with the Calamar heating up with several major incursions into our plane.

The Beltan trend towards a more robust frame and constitution. The live a spartan lifestyle within the structure of thier military units instead of family groupings.
 
Children are given over to be raised in crache's until such time as they are ready to join a unit.
