Preparatory Investigations

the gargoyles are the product of "Dark Bindings" an entities college that seems to specialise in using souls/spirits to animate objects.

  • Any info on which standard-college counter-spells (if any) are useful against the Dark Bindings (DB) magic?
  • Are the DB stored magics detectable on the Tower 'a magical effect produced by that College, {...} still in effect' for purposes of a Namer gaining familiarity (17.4)? If yes, have any done so (yet).

Understand if you want to leave this until employers briefing. --ErrolC 17:18, 7 Mar 2006 (NZDT)

Nah, that's OK.

  • From the point of view of magical flavour / resonance Dark Binding seems to have connections to both Colleges of Binding & Animating Magics and Necromantic Conjurations... with a slight bias towards Binding. Binding counterspells appear to have partial effect against DB.
  • From the information available from the last party and the Case of the Missing Suitor, Wordsmith could probably infer that the Gargoyles are likely to be a source of DB magic in effect.

Dramatis Personae

I assume that some of these people already have (or will have) their own pages on the Wiki that we will include links from (and to?) here as we get the chance. However I think the sentence or two of description that we currently have on this page should remain, as it is a pain to print out multi-page scribe notes for later reading.--ErrolC 11:54, 15 Mar 2006 (NZDT)

I agree -- anyway most of the people aren't important enough to rate their own pages anyway, though some have sections on the Newcastle page. -- Martin Dickson 15:42, 16 Mar 2006 (NZDT)

Formatting

I reformatted the pages and cut out the investigations for a couple of reasons

  1. It makes em easier to print.
  2. People will no longer have to risk RSI to get to the notes :-)

Voices for Scribe Notes

With Broc doing the notes, I though it a good idea to steal the styles concept that Stephen used on other notes so that others can add notes and they will be distinct from Broc.

Simply add the appropriate tag and change the 'Notes' section into the details you wish to add. You can get the tag by editing this document, not sure how to display just the code.
