Illusion questions
- Can someone else temporarily suppress the permanent illusion with a counter?
- You're sure this works off Ares?

I believe the permanent Illusions will be able to be removed with a (resistible) counterspell, the same as other monolith cast rituals.

My understanding was that the permanent-removable-by-counter type of monolith-boosted spell only operated as long as the target remained on Ares. - Errol
The super-extended duration spells - yes, on leaving Ares the normal duration applies. The rituals cast in under 1 minute at the Monoliths (such as Illusion Permanence) have their normal durations (Permanent) on leaving Ares and can be removed with a counter. That is as I understand it - SM
Cool, the 'normal duration on leaving Ares' makes sense. When do we find out if they are still vulnerable to counters while running on normal duration? I'm actually asking because I thought that some Illusion magics could be temporarily suppressed by a counter - useful if you have a neat magic gizmo that normally looks mundane (so as not to scare the peasants), but want to impress the right people. Or am I mis-remembering the situation where a later Illusion can sit on top of an existing one? This all matters when considering how to make things look.
