Awards for GMs

A couple of thoughts... reason and rationality should apply, but better to discuss these before they come up rather than afterwards when everyone has different expectations.

How much of a quarter must be GM'd to qualify?
Obviously a 2-night adventure doesn't qualify, but how about GMing 10 out of 13 possible nights, does that count?
Should the size of the party matter?
Should GMing 5 people count as much as GMing 7? How about GMing my two flatmates for the quarter?
What if I GM twice in the quarter?
Does GMing twice and not playing earn 20k? How about GMing twice and playing once: 10k?

A simple potential formula is

100 EP per player per night (3-4 hours) to a maximum of 5,000 EP per quarter.
Doubled if not playing in the quarter.

I think this should be per game. If you are dedicated/mad enough to run two full games then you deserve the award.

Roleplaying by Email

What if the GM GMs live every two weeks, but in the intervening weeks operates the game via play by email? Axis 4:51 pm 12 Sept 2006 (NZST)

What portion of a session is an email conversation worth when awarding EP to players? In my experience there is no award, but those that help the game move forward between nights generally get more contribution xp from me.
A PBM dq game is rare. I don't think that a PBM:Live exchange rate is something we can provide a reasonable rule for. Reasonable judgement passed by another GM is probably the best bet. -- Stephen 17:20, 12 Sep 2006 (NZST)
