What is this page for and where is it linked from?

There are a raft of things that magic just wrecks if not countered in some way. Castle defense for example.

Ben started to put it together according to the history. It links to his page.

I thought I would fill some info in and see where the discussions and idea's went. Must also remember to slap ben round and get him involved.

Fortifications still have their value. Archers firing from defensive positions have a good chance of potting and stunning a mage. They also serve to conceal defensive numbers and can provide excellent fields of vision for defending magi.

Of course, the castle may look somewhat different. Walls could be lower but with higher towers.

I have to agree with The first comment. Given the abudance of mages in the world it turns the convention renaissance image of the world on its head.

Health: Low ranked healers remove the historically high mortality rate.
Food: you fields and livestock would always yeild alot as they should always be blessed.
Transport: Lots of options here; rune portals, flying and itemisation or high speed ships.
Messaging: flying, whispering wind
Warfare: Magic disallows convention warfare; Any one of TK rage, agony, elementals, windstorm etc. would easily destory an army.

I dont think its an area worth exploring as there are too many holes that require contrived answers.

I think it is an excellent area to simply discuss, as it gives GM's something to think about when they are designing the game.

I don't think it is worth arguing out solutions or looking for a consensus but well worth reading.
