This town is settled on the banks of the Teken River where it merges with the Mahakam. While not a large town it is the main town for a large number of river villages as well as villages around Lake Semojang which lies 80 miles to the west.

The town is built in a rectangle with 5 major streets and a host of smaller byways.

Trade

The high value trade in the area is precious metals and gems particularly Emeralds but the bulk of trade is low value food goods shipped to Longiraan.

Religion

The Balai have a prescence but the religion is not followed as strongly as in the major towns. There are rumours of Qualeo worship in nearby villages.
