Casual Conversations in Loud Voices

Frost 23rd to 24th

The following are some casual conversations in loud voices at the guild estates.

Aryan discussing ideas with Sabrina after the qualification rounds
We're going to struggle in the arena rounds without decent weapons. If only there was someone who could itemise or conceal some weapons to get them into the arena and then throw them to us from the crowd as we entered. We wouldn't want to be too blatant by getting distinctive and powerful weapons thrown to us but I have a nice hand and a half that I will hang at the end of my bed that would be useful. It isn't even magical so a weapon spell could be cast on it too.
Sabrina I would like a Winged Helm for style and protection from knockouts, and a Main-Gauche.

...

I think someone in the crowd cast Quickness on us, if only there was some way we would know when it was going to happen so we could avoid resisting it. A distinctive noise or maybe an unusual scarf thrown into the arena just before they cast.

...

It doesn't make much difference to me but it would be really useful for positioning our mages to know the layout of the arena and where the cold iron areas are.

...

I wonder what would happen if somebody snuck into or under the arena the night before and put down wards of Slow and stuff like that to go off on the Trolls, Drow, Calimar, or other groups of non-guild races. Or maybe they.. oops I mean what if someone warded defence spells and other unresistable good stuff to go off on specific people.

...

The rules are that if those collars come off then you're out of the games. It would be really bad luck if the clasps were weakened so they came off mid-combat. It would be great for us if it happened to some of the popular teams like the giants and the players. Or to key mages in some of the other teams.

...

And food! It would be helpful if we didn't have to ask the crowd for food and water. And we'll have to check the food and water we do get just in case supporters of opposing teams try to slip us poisoned food or drink.

I'm not sure if I'll remember all these ideas, I'll write them down and stick them under my pillow to help me remember. Aryan wanders off through the kitchens muttering to himself 'must remember the note under my pillow'.
