Hallenstadt
Overview
Hallenstadt is a medium-sized town in the County of Aquila, set on a gentle rise above the meeting of two small roads and the slow, reed-lined Hallen Brook. It is not famous for battles, miracles, scandals, ruins, monsters, or ancient curses, which the townsfolk regard as one of its greatest civic achievements. The town is prosperous in a quiet, durable way: its granaries are full, its workshops are busy, its streets are swept, its wells are clean, and its local council meets precisely when scheduled.
