Not many owning up to this, are there? :-) --Errol 12:41, 17 Jun 2007 (NZST)

Most of those who list skills by category have a Mastery in that skill or a rank close to it. And/or the Skill is a primary part of the characters focus, while we have more than one or two active Master Spies or Assasins. It may well be that currently we don't have very many Guild members who are specialists in property retrevial.--Helen 15:14, 17 Jun 2007 (NZST)

Indeed (I'm wondering if some guidance on when to add yourself to a skill category would be useful - if everyone with any skill was listed, the Category would lose much of it's utility IMO (doesn't apply to the College listings).
And the later is possibly a reflection that Master-level thieving isn't as rewarding as other activities. --Errol 15:52, 17 Jun 2007 (NZST)

I have fixed mine so they are only in categories where they have the master level. --Mandos 15:53, 17 Jun 2007 (NZST)

If everyone with Rk 0 or better in a skill was to add themselves to a category, like say ranger then you'd have 100s of rangers since most characters have at least a north bump, and it would be useless for finding a specialist in such.
But restricting it so you only add yourself if your master level is silly too, we have a page that list masters. And if you're looking for a specialist but not necessarily a Master where would you then look, particularly if you want lower level characters. With mine I've added them only to category for the things they do, rather than have because they are useful. With Thorn that means the master level skills plus a couple of others, for Rowan who has much lower skill Ranks thats her top two ranked skills which are nowhere near master level.--Helen 19:23, 17 Jun 2007 (NZST)

That feels about right to me. And if the skill is rare, it's more useful to have those that are at least competent at it listed. --Errol 22:48, 17 Jun 2007 (NZST)
