Careful reading of various notes brought back to the Guild from the campaign against the Lord of Blood suggest she is related not only to the former Emperor Gorkara Kyzlbil but also related to the ruling Empress, currently missing, Korsiva Zaorich. It is strongly suggested that this is a direct filial relationship.
