Prince Kadakithis

Prince Kadakithis His Highness Prince Kadakithis of Ranke, Lord Protector of Sanctuary, Senior Prince of the Ducal Blood, Keeper of the Western Gate, and High Patron of the Free Harbour.

“Prince” Kadakithis occupies an awkward but potentially useful place in the restored ducal order of Ranke.
He is not the ruling prince of a sovereign principality, nor the heir apparent, but rather a prince of the old ducal blood: the younger brother of the previous Duke of Ranke, uncle to Queen Meredith Schwarzrotgold, and great-uncle to the newly returned Duchess of Ranke. His title is therefore one of dynastic dignity, not direct sovereignty.
