Zeylandia Plateau

Main Description

A shallow water area in the southern half of the Western Ocean (around latitude 40-45 South) on which Zeyland and associated islands sit. The area is largely uninhabited although the Pasifikan merfolk have established colonies on the northern edge. One of these colonies consists of worshippers of Vephar who were banished from Pasifika by King Kierl several years ago.

The waters here are cooler than on Pasifika so there is not the large diversity of marine life. Corals only grow on the northern area. Most of the interior of Zeylandia, especially the southern regions, is unexplored so anything could be lurking there.

Coral Sea

The Coral Sea is a large (600 * 150 miles) area in the NW of the plateau which is bounded by an enchanted coral reef. This reef keeps out extraplanar abominations. The Merfolk of Pasifica has recently settled this region with a portal to their main city. Aboleth ruins (& live Aboleth's) have been found, along with an aquatic human race called Aventi.
