New page

[[Category:Frontiers of Alusia]]The wood is 35 miles east of [[Chapel Crossing]] in eastern [[Brastor]] is named for the large number of Thorneapple trees which grow throughout it, making passage difficult for anyone not on foot.

Thornapple trees grow to 15-20ft tall and are a wide canopied tree. The lower branches start at around 5 ft from the ground on a mature tree and are very flexible. The 'apples' are very bitter and are used primarily for cooking or distilling into a potent spirit. Each fruit is surrounded by a number of sharp spines giving the tree it's name.
Caution is advised for anyone walking through these groves and riding is not advised.
