New page

This college was put together by me with the assistance of William to provide an NPC college with a focus on blood and with a decidedly unpleasant feel to it. I have placed it on the Wiki for other GM's to use if they wish to.

In regards to the potential feedback this college may create, I am always keen to receive feedback but please remember this is primarily a college for me to use on my games, and other than ensuring basic playability from a GM perspective I am not too fussed about tying up all the loose ends. New spell idea's are always welcome.
Wow! Nicely written - that is some fun and freaky stuff! Who cares about the balance as long as it is in GM creative control. ie let it be up to your discression to carry out the balance of what the NPC actually has or could possibly have from this list based on circumstances. --Neil 10:23, 12 May 2008 (NZST)
----

You might want to mark what effects that would DA as Undead, Formally Living, etc for those spells that specifically target such things so that it is known what can and cannot be destroyed by such spells. The Scrum for instance....

*Scrum clearly states living flesh :-)

Does the Scrum have a duration or is it permanent until destroyed?

* Duration should be 5 + 5 Mins.

I presume that potential targets in the effect of a Bardic Shell of Silence, cannot be detected by the Eyes of the Insane talent.

--Keith 17:48, 16 May 2008 (NZST)

*They would not be heard but could still be seen.

Perhaps add Stream of Corruption to the Special Knowledge Spells. -MTB

Good Idea, I will go find a Slayer track to provide an appropriate new name --Mandos 06:55, 7 Jun 2008 (NZST)
Modifiers: a Blood Moon might give additional bonuses - it's a particular type of full moon, and seems to be an intersection of the two types of bonuses. Also, there is no hint in the college why a normal full moon gives a bonus.
*Nice Idea. Like it.

When I saw that, I thought you were referring to the red moon produced during a total lunar eclipse .... I bet there'd be a bonus there too .. and I can see some rituals being done while the moon is blood red. - Keith

Expendable Youth: You say the blood golem has the same stats as a rag and string of similar rank, but also give non-rank-dependant stats.

Given there are several colleges of blood magic, some of which are active, should Blood magic redirect here?
* No defiantly not. There are lots of variants of blood magic and this is only one of them. This is simply a college I have used and is in no way meant to be the definitive blood college.
Dead Skin Mask does not specify whether you kill the child as part of the ritual. Could an adept regenerate the face and therefore reuse the child for more masks?
--Michael
*While it is true that is does not specify, surely the answer is pretty obvious from a quick peruse of the rest of the college :-) Yes the child dies. If you suspected otherwise you might have missed the overall theme :-) --Mandos 02:28, 8 Jun 2008 (NZST)

----
Further to that... Spells/Rituals that require killing people just aren't the same if you can resurrect them afterwards. (Phah, tis just a small death!) What do you think about the idea that if the targets can (all) be resurrected, it ruins the ritual? That would make the users seem just a bit nastier, and probably also means the Adept has to cover themselves by disposing of the bodies in a non-resurrectable way (yeeeuuk), or else risk a guild party disrupting their plans.
