===Abarsis===
Stepson and ex-High Priest of [[Berith]] in Northern Ranke. Born in the Ormond mountains north of Ranke. Castrated and enslaved by Rankene raiders, he was rescued by [[Sanctuary_Notables#Tempus_Thales|Tempus]] and formed the Stepsons as a token of personal, rather than feudal, loyalty. He sacrificed his life so that [[Sanctuary_Notables#Tempus_Thales|Tempus]] might have vengeance on [[Sanctuary_Notables#Jubal|Jubal]]. Abarsis then came back from the dead, bearing warnings.

Acolyte of [[Berith]]. Beaten and crippled by [[#Gyskouras|Gyskouras]].

===Arbalest===
Rankene Archpriest of [[Valefor]]. Commissioner of artworks and famed for his self portrait - he appears like a weasel, with covert cunning in his gaze.

===Gordonesh===
Ilsigi Archpriest of [[Gusion]] in Sanctuary. This worthy patriarch is old and almost senile. He is rarely seen on the streets, working entirely through his curate, [[#Hazroah|Hazroah]]. A crotchety old man who spends his time in senile contemplations of his religion's fall.

===Gyskouras===
Half Demon. One of the Storm Children, conceived during an ill-fated Ritual of the Ten-Slaying, a commemoration of [[Berith]]'s vengeance on his brothers. His mother was a Northern slave-girl named [[#Seylalha|Seylalha]], who performed the dance playing [[Gremory]] for [[Sanctuary_Notables#Tempus_Thales|Tempus]], who was in the role of [[Berith]]. A bad-tempered brat with the power to create storms, or kill, or more. Was only calmed when joined by his foster-brother, [[Sanctuary_Sdanzo#Arton|Arton]] (son of [[Sanctuary_Sdanzo#Illyra|Illyra]]). Currently both are in the Elven Isles for education.

===Rashan===
Priest and inquisitor/judge of [[Uriel]]. Highest-ranking Rankene in Sanctuary prior to the arrival of the Prince. Now allied with the disaffected Rankenes at [[Sanctuary_Country_Estates|Land's End]]. Said to be a conniving, provincial priest whose sole purpose in life had been to thwart every reform [[Sanctuary_Notables#Prince_Kadakithis|Kadakithis]] instituted.

===Seylalha===
A temple dancer chosen to be [[Gremory]] at one of [[Berith]]'s festivals. She bore a demonspawn child named [[#Gyskouras|Gyskouras]] who is both [[Berith]]'s and [[Sanctuary_Notables#Tempus_Thales|Tempus]]' and thus gained her freedom and will spend the rest of her life in comfort at the temple. A beautiful woman with calf-length honey-coloured hair.

===Shamshi===
[[Sanctuary_Notables#Molin_Torchholder|Molin Torchholder]]'s witch/slave mother who died giving birth to him after the Dance of [[Gremory]] Festival. She was feared by the hierarchy of the temple so had her tongue cut out and was kept drugged.

===Smhee===
Priest / Assassin. Five Sisters national A minor priest of a foreign goddess. He is easily recognized by his stench, which is due to the rancid butter covering his entire body (a religious rite). He is a short man with thin legs and arms, but a butterball of a body. Over the years he has become a skilled assassin while hunting his prey.
