<div >__NOTOC__</div>Koetai is the largest province on the eastern side of the Island. The province is bordered to the north by [[Tidoengsche]], to the west by [[Dajak]] and to the south by [[Tanah Boemboe]]. Small borders are also shared to the west with [[Madi]] and [[Serawak]].

Koetai is one of the more heavily populated provinces due to both it's size and the availablitiy of high quality cultivated lands. The populous is however divided with those in the uplands desirous of independence and are rallying round another leader. The rebellion is centered around the island of Sangkoeliranbaat and has gained strength in all the villages and towns north of the Tamal river.
